Years of tasting, travelling and trusting his instincts have taught Museum Wines’ Managing Director Daniel Grigg one simple truth: exceptional wines announce themselves quietly, if you know how to listen.
This month’s Wined-Up Merchant pick is a textbook example. Domaine La Bosque is a little-known (for now), fiercely principled estate tucked into the oak-lined slopes of Saint-Chinian in the Languedoc-Roussillon. Founded in 2016 by Olivia and Maxime Calas, the domaine spans just seven hectares and produces a mere 15,000 bottles a year, all organically certified, all driven by minimal intervention, and all rooted in a deep respect for land, friendship and integrity. They call themselves “epicurean winegrowers”, and it shows.
As Daniel puts it:
“A brand new addition to Museum Wines’ exclusive agency portfolio, Domaine La Bosque are a textbook example of why Languedoc wines are that rare thing from France… terrific bang for your buck!”
Their La Régalade range captures the spirit perfectly. The white is bright and zingy, grounded by Grenache Blanc and lifted by the carefree charm of Piquepoul. The rouge bursts with crunchy red fruit, wild strawberries and red cherries, revealing just how elegant Cinsault and Grenache can be when handled with a deft touch. Both are unapologetically drinkable, authentically expressive, and effortlessly refreshing at just 12.5% abv.
This is insider wine at its best, and exactly the kind of discovery Daniel has built his reputation on.

Top Picks
A red from the South that is drunk like a schist imprint. On the heights of La Bosque, the Grenache and Syrah vines are rooted in a schist terroir surrounded by scrubland. This preserved place produces a singular wine, both fresh, precise and full of character. Patte de Loup reveals an elegant and wild South, between controlled power and mineral tension.
A southern white that is drunk like a burst of light. Born on schist and clay-limestone, this white exudes scrubland and mimosa. The white Grenache expresses all its roundness, enhanced by the liveliness of the Piquepoul. Fruity and greedy, it leaves a casual freshness on the palate, that of a lively and luminous wine that awakens the taste buds.
A red from the South that is drunk like a burst of laughter. A red from the South that dances between freshness and lightness. The Cinsault regains its freedom, mixed with the Grenache for more roundness. Under the sun, it reveals pure fruit, a joyful mouthfeel, and that simple taste for sharing, that of a wine that you open without thinking.
