Description
Certified Organic since 2021 harvest. Single vineyard. Granitic soil in the Clisson area, one of the first three villages/communes to be highlighted for higher quality potential (once known as a cru communal, but this is not an official term) with great minerality but also in relation to other communes, it can be fairly open and expressive, as shown with this Clos des Perrieres. Surface of soil has scattered pink stones.
Spontaneous fermentation and pied de cuve. No additions bar sulphur at bottling. Vinified in underground tanks (typical in the Nantais region, ‘a la Nantaise’). At least 9 months ageing on lees for texture, body and lees character.
