The 2023 Vloedvlak Colombard is a standout expression of old-vine fruit, sourced from a vineyard planted in 1978 along the banks of the Olifants River, just 25 km from the Atlantic Ocean. This wine offers a captivating nose of floral notes, lime, yellow fruits, and a distinct minerality, with hints of kelp and umami. On the palate, it’s tight and linear, with an intense salinity that balances citrus, peach, and quince flavors. The finish is clean and structured, showcasing a lovely phenolic grip that promises excellent aging potential.
