The 2023 Brookdale Estate Mason Road GSM is a vibrant and expressive wine with aromas of brambleberries, smoke, and brine, complemented by a rush of red fruits like cherries and plums, along with the wildness of Mourvèdre. Grenache adds depth with a core of blackcurrant and a smooth balance of tannins and acidity. The wine finishes with a spice-laden and dry elegance. It pairs well with beef, lamb, venison, and vegetables.

INTRODUCTION
The Brookdale Estate, situated at the foot of the lofty Du Toitskloof Pass in Paarl, is a very impressive boutique winery owned by Englishman Tim Rudd and is planted with not only 25+ year old Chenin Blanc vines but also several other special Chenin Blanc blocks that are now over 35 years old and certified under the Old Vine Project as Heritage Vines.
