The aromatics are attractively floral and expressive with notes of violets, lilac and purple flowers, earthy wild strawberries, red currant preserve, black cherry and a pronounced earthy, savoury wood spice component boasting an intriguing sapidity. On the palate, there is a velvety, harmonious mouthfeel with a rounded, soft, fleshy generosity and cool layers of tangy red plum, pithy strawberry, red cherry rock candy, a mouth-watering integrated acidity and a savoury, smoky minerality on the finish. With only 1,375 bottles produced, a Pinot Noir of this quality is not going to hang around for long. A very classy expression from a deliciously fresh, vibrant vintage.
