    Description

For the past 30 years, Jean Foillard remains true to his style: natural wines, no frills, but accurate. Highly refined, this supported Garnet wine opens on the nose with floral aromas, crushed red berries and notes of undergrowth. Smooth and pure, the palate is based on dense and powerful tannins with a superb velvety feel, up to a lingering and elegant finish. All the character of a great Morgon!

    Producer Profile

In 1981, he joined the family estate, and made every effort to make his wines naturally good wines. From 1985, he developed his know-how with the famous Marcel Lapierre and began to forge his style by enhancing his terroir. He will also get closer to Yvon Métras, Guy Breton, Jean-Paul Thevenet in Beaujolais and Les Valette in Burgundy. They will then form a group of free and independent winegrowers who are not afraid to break the codes. Jean Foillard has 8 hectares of land on clay-limestone soils. By using a low temperature carbonic maceration, it emerges from it wines rich with fruit aromas, and velvety texture. We invite you to discover its Morgon on which it has built a solid reputation, in particular thanks to its schist plot of the mythical Côte du Py…
