Producer Profile
INTRODUCTION
Bodegas Pisuerga’s singular aim is to produce exquisite, classically styled Verdejo from organically certified vineyards in and around their winery in La Seca, at the very heart of Rueda. One of the region’s oldest wineries, they’re committed to the natural and social environment, striving to ensure the soils remain vital to produce the best possible grapes. The use of cover crops and organic manure builds soil diversity and reduces the risk of disease, which in turn leads to a vigilant but hands-off approach amongst the growers. Vinification is in the hands of their experienced team at their state-of-the-art winery in La Seca, where their experience of the region and close partnership between the oenologist and winemaker, enables them to capture the ultimate expression of Organic Rueda Verdejo.
