This blend of Grenache, Syrah/Shiraz and Mourvedre is utterly harmonious with ripe cherry and subtle plum fruit combine with layers of jasmine, cinnamon and warm, oaky leather. Lively and rich with the ripe fruit flavours elegantly supported by soft waves of tannin. There’s an abundance of seductive garrigue herbs notes on the finish offering a savoury complement to the robust fruit character.

The 2018 Org de Rac Die Waghuis Rooi is an organic Swartland blend of Shiraz, Mourvèdre, Grenache, and Verdelho. Vibrant ripe fruit, soft tannins, and fragrant aromas create a well-balanced, medium-bodied wine with a lingering finish.
Grenache was fermented whole-bunch, followed by Shiraz and Mourvèdre on combined skins, then aged separately in French oak. Sourced from shale-rich slopes of the Piketberg Mountain, it pairs beautifully with duck, hearty stews, or ripe cheeses.
