Description
This Chardonnay displays a vibrant, lemony green color and a bright, lively nose with mineral overtones, followed by stone fruit, light roasted almonds, and a hint of lemon meringue. On the palate, eleven months of lees contact add a refined creaminess and complexity, offering a full mouthfeel and impressive length. Elegant citrus and white blossom flavors are beautifully complemented by minerality, a touch of salinity, and complex acidity, leading to a long, smooth finish.
The wine was 100% barrel fermented in French oak using natural yeast, resulting in a fresh yet creamy, crisp profile.

Producer Profile
A family owned wine producer located in the heart of the Franschhoek Valley. Established by owners Gerard Holden (a British investment banker in another life) & Migo Manz in 2010. The 22ha estate is situated between the Franschhoek River and Stony Brook at 300m above sea level. With only 16 ha under vine, their focus has always been red grape varieties, though their stellar white wines, from the reserve Chardonnay, to the Chenin Blanc, and now Semillon requires further inspection.
