Kirchenpeace is a very distinctive wine style with a clear signature, which sets itself radically apart from the Palatinate mainstream. A finely meshed tannin structure with gentle fruit dominates, and the subtle use of wood is by no means showy. Like all wines from Marie Adler, it is bottled unfiltered, without fining, and with minimal sulphur addition. This is what the new generation of the Palatinate tastes like.

    Producer Profile

Our vines are located in Leistadt, high up right on the edge of the Palatinate Forest. Our village was never modernized through land consolidation. This way, we manage very small-scale (16) parcels here. Many of our vineyards are located directly in the Berntal nature reserve.

On our 2.5 hectares, we work organically with a focus on the typical varieties of our region: Riesling, Sylvaner, Weisser Traminer (aka Savagnin), and Portugieser.

In our work in the vineyard, we mainly ensure that our vines bring their grapes to optimal ripeness as naturally as possible. Through a lot of manual work, we ensure maximum soil health, natural ground cover, and a vital leaf canopy.

Added value: In addition to viticulture, we graze the Berntal nature reserve with our sheep and are increasingly planting trees on our land. In this way, we (and you too .-)) contribute to greater biodiversity and promote the biodiverse mosaic of our cultural landscape.
