The 2023 Les Dames De 1987 from Terre Paisible is a refined wine aged for nine months on the lees in a 4000L foudre, enhancing its classic ageing potential. This family-owned boutique winery, set in the picturesque Franschhoek Valley, was acquired by Robert Levy in 2017, with the vision of producing premium wines from estate-grown and regionally sourced grapes. Made from old vine Sauvignon Blanc, the wine presents shimmering green-gold hues with aromas of lemon zest, green fig, and herbal notes. The bright acidity elevates citrus flavors, while sur-lie maturation contributes richness and complexity. The palate remains vibrant, with a long-lasting, graceful finish.
