    Description

A beautifully crafted white blend, this wine is made from hand-selected grapes from Banhoek, Wellington, and Simonsberg-Paarl, with the 2019 growing season offering the perfect conditions for slow ripening. The pale gold wine presents a fresh, flinty nose with aromas of lime, green apple, tangerine, and delicate honeysuckle. On the palate, 12 months of lees contact adds creaminess and depth, balancing vibrant citrus and white blossom flavours with a touch of minerality and subtle salinity. The wine finishes long and smooth, with crisp, complex acidity.

Food Pairing: Ideal with seared tuna, charred fennel, truffled pomme purée, or puttanesca. Also pairs well with poultry, vegetables, or hard cheeses.

    Producer Profile

A family owned wine producer located in the heart of the Franschhoek Valley. Established by owners Gerard Holden (a British investment banker in another life) & Migo Manz in 2010. The 22ha estate is situated between the Franschhoek River and Stony Brook at 300m above sea level.  With only 16 ha under vine, their focus has always been red grape varieties, though their stellar white wines, from the reserve Chardonnay, to the Chenin Blanc, and now Semillon requires further inspection. Best you read the critic’s notes and taste, to see for yourself!
