Description
A rich and full-bodied Merlot, this wine is aged for 22 months in 70% new French oak, giving it depth and smoothness. The dark garnet colour leads to a nose filled with black cherry, blackberry, subtle cedar, and hints of wild fig and fynbos. On the palate, the wine opens with ripe black cherries and plum, followed by a complex, mocha-infused mid-palate and a long, velvety finish. Soft, round tannins make for a smooth, easy-drinking wine that lingers beautifully.
Food Pairing: Perfect with lamb, roasted vegetables, or aged Comté with fresh sourdough bread.
