Description
The 2020 Domaine Michel Mallard Ladoix Clos Royer Blanc is a refined expression of Chardonnay from the Ladoix-Serrigny commune. With a sunny southeastern exposure, the Clos Royer vineyard benefits from aerated soils rich in limestone. After a careful sorting and gentle pressing, the wine undergoes fermentation with indigenous yeasts, followed by 12 months of aging in French oak barrels (20% new). The result is a wine with aromas of quince, apricot, and acacia, complemented by floral notes and a subtle flinty minerality. Its bold, fruity profile is balanced by freshness, making it a standout example of Ladoix whites.
