Deep garnet colored, the 2010 Malartic Lagraviere has a nose of prunes, dried figs and leather with nuances of cherry cough syrup, sassafras and camphor. Full-bodied, the mid-palate is a little dried out while the tannins are pretty darn chewy, finishing a tad hard. [Lisa Perrotti-Brown, 18/02/2020]

Tasted blind. Deep garnet. Rich, savoury and charry on the nose. Smoky (reductive or oaky?). Massive power and not typically Pessac but impressive in balanced power. Really dense and chewy. (JH) [12/02/2020]
