Servicing the on and off trade since 2003…

Museum Wines was founded in 2003 as a wholesale supplier to the on-trade and opened their first retail outlets in 2014 capitalising on a gap in the market in Dorset’s Tarrant Valley for a wine merchant that emulated the Majestic model of plenty of parking and rarely a queue whilst offering the finest wines available to humanity, rather than discounted supermarket fare.

In recent years they have established themselves as an industry leading specialist in South African wines and were commended for just that by monthly publication Decanter. They work with ten farms in South Africa who they represent exclusively in the UK distributing their wines through their shop, website and wholesale business to customers ranging from Audi dealerships to Michelin Star restaurants.

Despite our rural location we deliver next day to all London addresses as standard and offer delivery within 48 hours to the rest of the UK. We even have a bank account and a card machine for receiving payments. However, our HQ being located in a converted barn is somewhat more economical than whichever ‘space’ is currently en vogue in the capital. This means we can work on smaller margins than our London peers and you just have to pay for the wine, rather than our rent and business rates.

We’re also happy to offer trade pricing to the general public for large orders needed for weddings or other one off events. We can help with volume guidance depending on your number of guests and offer sale or return for anything unused.
