South Africa’s first growth, Stark-Condé

Stark-Condé caught our attention last year having risen through the ranks of Master of Wine Tim Atkin’s classification of South African wine farms from Fourth Growth to First Growth which in layman’s terms would be like your local Sunday League team making in into the Premiership having achieved a promotion every season, for four consecutive seasons.

Rudger van Wyk was named Young winemaker of the year 2019 and nominated for the same accolade again in 2020, along with picking up scores of 95/100 and Gold Medal for the Field Blend 2018 and Oude Nektar 2016 from Decanter in their annual World Wine Awards. They’re clearly a farm on the rise.

We introduced their wines to the UK for the first time in January of this year and they’ve immediately won the hearts of our customers with their commitment to quality and to offering the wines at a sensible price. So with an additional discount of up to 25% on the full range the value for money is unbeatable.
