Tenuta del Melo extends for 20 hectares, with young Cortese and Barbera vineyards, well exposed, cultivated according to the organic method . The plants have their roots in the marly and mineral soil typical of this area. The rows are grassed to promote deep oxygenation of the roots and there is no use of chemicals either in the vineyard or in the cellar.

The fertility of the soil is stimulated through preparations obtained with fermented fertilizer, minerals and herbs capable of increasing the nutrition and quality of the bunches, in harmony with the rhythms and cycles of nature.

The care of the vine and the extreme attention to all the winemaking processes in the cellar produce a Gavi DOCG of great finesse and a Piemonte DOC Barbera of extraordinary immediacy.

    In The Cellar
The wine remains on its yeasts for 3 months; it is then cold stabilized before bottling, which takes place in March. From this process a fresh and very pleasant wine is born.

    In The Vineyard
The grapes, harvested by hand around the second week of September, are carefully selected, destemmed and softly pressed. The must obtained, after natural decantation, is left to ferment in steel tanks. The alcoholic fermentation lasts 15/20 days and takes place at a controlled temperature of 18 degrees.
With a particularly fine mineral scent, the nose expresses aromas of honey and candied citron. The palate is lively, balanced, with a fresh acidity that amplifies its persistence and favors drinkability, with a slightly almond finish.
