The 2023 Raats Chenin Blanc Old Vine from Stellenbosch is crafted from 100% Chenin Blanc grapes, blending tradition with innovation. With 50% of the wine fermented in French oak barrels for softness and the other 50% in stainless steel for acidity, it presents a complex nose of quince, white peach, yellow apple, fenugreek spices, and a mineral intensity. On the palate, it shows a delicate peach-melba character with fresh, zesty lemon and wet chalk notes. The wine has a balanced, fine texture and a long, fresh finish.
