The 2016 Glaetzer Anaperenna from Barossa Valley is a masterful blend of 84% Shiraz and 16% Cabernet Sauvignon, sourced from exceptional old vines in the Ebenezer sub-district. Aged for 16 months in 100% new oak hogshead barrels (92% French, 8% American), this wine boasts a deep garnet hue with purple highlights. Aromas of blackberry, anise, and spice box are complemented by a herbal lift, while the palate offers layered spice, rich dark fruits, and supple tannins. With 15.5% alcohol and a structure built for aging, it promises peak drinking potential over the next 20 years. Voluptuous, refined, and incredibly satisfying.
