Description
Winemaking:
The wine is made from Shiraz grapes sourced from the Clare Valley, a region known for its cool climate and ideal conditions for Shiraz. The 2014 vintage benefited from a mix of mild spring conditions and strategic rainfall, ensuring a good balance of ripeness and flavour development.
Tasting notes:
Aromas of blue fruits, leather, and tobacco lead to a palate rich with plum, blackberry, spearmint, and dark chocolate, all framed by a smoky finish. Bold and fleshy with a well-balanced medium body, offering depth and complexity.
Food pairing:
Pairs well with grilled meats, barbecued dishes, or rich, slow-cooked lamb. Ideal with dark chocolate desserts or cheeses like aged cheddar or blue cheese.
