Sociando-Mallet, Haut Medoc, Bordeaux, France, 2009
The Sociando-Mallet 2009 is a racy Haut-Médoc. The colour is very dark and deep purple. The nose of this great Haut-Médoc is complex, offering small black fruit mixed with new oak notes linked to the ageing, but perfectly integrated. On the palate, the wine has a superb, creamy texture with balanced and silky tannins, all of an elegant density. The palate then reveals notes of crushed rock, white flowers, graphite, blueberry and cassis. The finish is long and persistent. Sun-drenched ripeness and voluptuous with good ageing potential.
