Museum Wines & Blind Faith online tasting in support of Isabelo – 18th February 2021
Drink some lekker wine, support a worthy cause. Win, Win.
Each tasting pack will include four anonymous 68ml pouches, two whites and two reds – one of each commands £60 per bottle, whilst the others are below £20 per bottle. This is serious wine, no skunk juice allowed… but can you tell which is which?
The only thing we’re telling you is that each wine is South African and that £10 from the sale of each pack will be donated to Isabelo – a charity founded by Margot Janse, former Executive Chef at The Tasting Room / Le Quartier Français, who feeds 1100 school children every single day who’d otherwise go hungry.
You’re able to taste the wine in your own time (handy in case you’ve already spent all day in Zoom meetings!) and complete your assessment for each wine online including what region of South Africa you think it is from, which vintage, the grape(s) and if you’re feeling particularly confident the name of the producer.
Daniel Grigg, our Managing Director and resident SA wine quality control officer, will then host the live reveal at 6pm on Thursday 18th February which will be a half hour Zoom extravaganza including some background on each wine, vinous witticisms galore and, of course, letting you in on what exactly you’ve been tasting.
All orders will be fulfilled by Blind Faith in their nifty, letter box friendly packaging meaning there’s no need for you to be home when it’s delivered and no need for a signature if you’re self isolating.
If you want to take part the deadline for orders is Tuesday 9th February as Blind Faith will need enough time to dispense our wines into the pouches, pack them and dispatch them promptly to ensure they arrive with you in advance of the live reveal. The pouches will then be dispatched on Friday 12th February on a next day service.
