Môreson Cabernet Franc, Franschhoek, South Africa, 2017
Moreson’s drive towards producing exclusively estate grown wines took another step forward last year with the release of the 2015 vintage Cabernet Franc, which is now expertly crafted by winemaker Clayton Reabow using only fruit grown on their farm in Franschhoek.
The move away from sourcing fruit from Stellenbosch and Paarl was rewarded when John Platter awarded the wine his coveted 5 star accolade in his 2017 Wine Guide.
A very pure expression of Cabernet Franc which beautifully demonstrates the mineral character of the grape with tobacco leaf and pencil shavings with a complement of ripe blackberry fruit.
