This wine is made from a single vineyard planted in 1977 in the Piekenierskloof ward situated in the Citrusdal mountain district. This vineyard is planted in decomposed sandstone soils at about 750m above sea level. These vineyards are passionately farmed by the Sandell family and team. Only 1333 bottles were produced. The idea behind this wine is to tell a story about a specific site, soil and farmer.

“The closest you can get to the gates of the Skurfberg,” says Franco Lourens about its source at 750 metres in Piekenierskloof, Skuinskap is back after a break in 2019.
