Holden Manz, Hiro Rosé, Franschhoek, South Africa, 2019
This is more like a serious Blanc de Noir with a character more in common with a Grenache Blanc driven white Rhône Valley blend but it doesn’t lack the quintessence of rosé – being impossibly pretty, delicate and gluggable.
An enchanting and enticing perfume of lemon peel, fresh peach, pear and wet slate. The wine is mouth filling, viscous and opulent bestowing it with a nature that will hold its ground against lobster or turbot The palate is resplendent and saline with nectarine, red apple & orange peel
