Domaine Jean Foillard, Morgon Côte du Py Vielle Vignes, France, 2020

The Côte du Py is located on the burial site of an extinct volcano, with soils of schist and granite, and is one of the most revered vineyard sites in Morgon.

The fruit which this wine is made from is sourced from 60 year old vines and bottled without the use of sulphur. It’s also unfined and unfiltered which helps maximise the intense aromas of wild strawberries and candied cherries which are complemented by the complex mineral undertones.

This is a silky, sumptuous delight to enjoy over the next 5-6 years.
