Chateâu Lagrange 3ème Cru Classé, St-Julien, Bordeaux, France, 2011
Classic as classic can be for a St-Julien. Exquisitely extracted tannin that lays the groundwork for a delicious and approachable soft black fruit mid palate. Drinking younger and better right now than many of the 2010’s from the same region, this wine has ageing potential, but has an effable quality that isn’t quite yet seen in the previous two vintages.
We love the Chateau for its relatively reasonable price and precise style that epitomises St-Julien and left-bank Bordeaux as a style. Delicious Bordeaux that delivers every time, but especially in 2011 for right now.
