Chateau Bellegrave, Pauillac, Bordeaux, France, 2014

The 2014 Bellegrave has a conservative, you could almost say predictable bouquet, one that is well defined with stony, black fruit, hints of smoke and truffle. The palate is well balanced with fine tannin, lovely delineation and focus, an extremely nuanced Pauillac that expresses that enclave of gravel soil in the western flank of the appellation. There is very astute winemaking here, a beautifully crafted Pauillac from the western flank of the appellation that will age with style – Neal Martin, Wine Advocate
