Cataratto from Sicily can be produced in a great many styles. Some can be very oxidative and nutty, some can be crisp and boring. This wine is none of those things. The subtlety and nuance of impassioned winemaking is palpable. The acidity of this wine acts as a pin on which the delightfully fleshy, stone fruit character balances effortlessly. Its a prima ballerina en pointe amidst a swirling array of symphonic harmonies. Incredible value for those of you out there who like a crisp and refreshing white. It does everything it should and nothing it shouldn’t.
