Discover Cinsault with Natte Valleij…

It’s been said that Cinsault is the best cultivar at expressing Terroir and owner/winemaker Alex Milner first discovered it during a harvest in Provence, despite it once being South Africa’s most widely planted varietal. The majority of what he was harvesting was destined to become rosé but this encounter planted the seed for what would become his Cinsault Collective range at Natte Valleij, the same grape grown in four different regions from old vines, each beautifully expressing its own unique terroir.

But Alex doesn’t just craft beguiling Cinsault, he’s also painstakingly produced a Bordeaux Blend driven by Cabernet Sauvignon alongside a supporting cast of Merlot and Cabernet Franc influenced by the wines produced on the left bank of Bordeaux. This is certainly no attempt at being a knock off claret though, it’s big, brooding, dark and dense – unashamedly South African.

All of his wines are now available to buy online by clicking the links below and there’s even a mixed case option for the Cinsaults, which were recently all scored by Tim Atkin MW at between 92 – 94 points out of 100.
