Some wines ask for patience. Luckily, we’ve done the waiting for you.
This 10-year-old Bordeaux red blend from Château L’Éperon has already had a decade in the cellar to soften, settle, and find its groove – so it’s drinking beautifully the moment it hits your glass.
The estate sits on limestone-clay just outside Saint-Émilion and comes with a backstory almost as bold as the wine itself: named in 1810 after a rooster’s spur (yes, rooster fighting was a thing), restored by an English aristocrat, and now run by friends and family united by their love of Bordeaux.
At just £12.98, it’s proof that great Bordeaux doesn’t need to break the bank – especially when time has already done the hard work.
