Champagne
France

This Champagne has a wide appeal. Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier are equal partners with the latter bestowing a feminine, fruity character to the Champagne in its youth - perfect for lovers of exuberantly-styled Champagnes. With age the Pinot Noir comes to the fore imparting a firmer structure and fuller flavour. An excellent reason to buy more than one case

Champagne
France

From one of the great Champagne producers, its elegant complexities come from barrel-ageing some of the blend, together with at least four years maturation in bottle before disgorging. Moreover, the addition of a small dosage in this non-vintage blend, results in a fruitier style of champagne, yet with a surprising depth of flavour

Sparkling Wine Extra Dry 0

France

This is a hugely successful marriage of Champagne elegance with the ripeness of Languedoc fruit from iconoclast and native Champenois Jean-Louis Denois; Our own Extra Dry is now made from a blend of Mauzac, Chardonnay and Chenin Blanc. A soft, delicate mousse and a floral nose with the suggestion of honey, nougat and limes combine to give this wine from the south of France immense appeal. Perfect for any occasion.

Chateau Latour
1979

Bordeaux: Pauillac
France

Vintage quality and tasting comments The red wines in general were of high quality with beautiful color, good body and a good tannic constitution. The wine has a very deep color, with a rich and profound nose of musk, leather and ripe fruits. Rich mouth with charm and roundness and an elegant finish. Quality: Good year

Chateau Langoa Barton
Saint Julien 1995

France

This is often looked at as the second wine of Leoville Barton, but it is actually a separate estate, producing wines that are slightly softer than the more formidably endowed and broodingly backward Leoville Bartons. The outstanding 1993, a softer version of the Leoville Barton, exhibits a deep ruby/purple color, sweet black cherries intermixed with subtle herbal notes, roasted meats, juices, and black currants. In the mouth, it is expansive, savory, round, and seemingly on a much faster evolutionary track than Leoville Barton.
